A keynote lecture on the situation of authors and translators in Belarus. Bestselling author Nina George has been considered one of the strongest voices when it comes to the concerns of the book world for years. Since June 2019, she is President of the European Writers’ Council, the federation of 46 European writers’ and translators’ associations. Previously, she was an advisory board member of the PEN Germany and a commissioner of the Women Writers Committee. For the Federal Board of the Union of German Writers, she was responsible, among other things, for the areas of copyright and digital issues.
