EWC becomes a stakeholder of the EUIPO Observatory

2nd April 2026

EWC’s application to join the stakeholder network of the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights has been approved. The decision was communicated in March 2026, by Patricia García-Escudero Márquez, Director of the Observatory at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

The EUIPO Observatory brings together experts and specialist stakeholders, public authorities designated by each Member State, private stakeholders and civil society, who use their technical skills, experience and knowledge to protect and promote IP rights and support those directly engaged in enforcement.

The Observatory’s network is organised around four working groups: IP in the Digital World, Enforcement, Economics and Statistics, and Public Awareness.

The EWC thrives to bring in evidence, proposals and policy from the author’s perspectives.
