The EWC Annual General Meeting (AGM) and side events will take place from 24-26 May 2024 in Helsinki, Finland.

On Friday a Reception by the City of Helsinki will be held in the City Hall and later on the over registered 50 delegates can enjoy an International Poetry Event at the the House of Text (Tekstin talo). The EWC’s Burning Issue Forum on Saturday for Delegates and upon personal invitation will focus on “Situation Room: The threat on authorship” and comprises selected speakers and experts.

There will also be some exciting optional leisure activities as guided tour in Helsinki Central Library Oodi and a Finnish Fun Cliché walking tour. Delegates of EWC member associations and their companions as well as special guests are invited to the EWC AGM days, which is organised in collaboration with our local partners and hosts, the Union of Finnish Writers – Suomen Kirjailijaliitto, the Association of Finnish Nonfiction Writers – Suomen tietokirjailijat ry; the Society of Swedish Authors in Finland – Finlands svenska forfattareförening, and  Sanasto – Finnish Literary Copyright Society. Special thanks go also to the City of Helsinki for the Reception invitation on Friday evening. On Sunday, the Annual General Meeting will be held from 09:30-13:00 (Delegates and new members for ratification only).
