Мы осуждаем преступления Путина против демократии и человечности

Акт агрессии российской власти против Украины – это война с демократией, нашими ценностями, представлениями о мире, свободе и правах человека.

Подлое военное нападение президента России Путина на Украину грубо нарушает основы демократических свобод, завоеванные странами Восточной Европы после 1989 года. Путин, назвавший распад тоталитарного Советского Союза «катастрофой», стремится дестабилизировать всю Европу. Военное вторжение российских войск в Украину 24 февраля 2022 года является посягательством на мир и демократические ценности во всей Европе.

«Кровопролитие должно быть остановлено! В это трудное время необходимо поддержать народ Украины и наших коллег-литераторов», – заявил в Риге Арно Юндзе (Arno Jundze), председатель Союза писателей Латвии. «То, что происходит в Украине, – это угроза демократии во всей Европе. Если война в Украине не будет остановлена, это будет для агрессора сигналом, позволяющим делать что угодно во всей Восточной Европе».

Ранее уже более 1,5 миллионов человек были вынуждены покинуть свои дома в Донецке и Луганске. Прогнозируется, что боевые действия вынудят еще около 5 миллионов украинцев покинуть страну, если Россия продолжит вторжение. Признание Путиным Донецкой и Луганской Народных Республик может стать лишь началом череды широкомасштабных насильственных действий России против Европы, направленных на захват бывших советских территорий: прежде всего страны Балтии рассматривают как угрозу для своей безопасности присутствие российских войск в Беларуси – в связи с так называемым «Сувалкским коридором». Этим термином обозначают 100-километровую приграничную зону между Польшей и Литвой, которая обрамляет российский эксклав – Калининградскую область – и Беларусь. Поскольку это единственная сухопутная связь между тремя странами Балтии и другими странами-членами НАТО, есть опасения, что Россия может захватить этот проход в случае военного конфликта, тем самым изолировав балтийские республики от территорий союзников по альянсу. Это привело бы к быстрому захвату Балтии. Литва, граничащая с российским Калининградом на Балтийском море, объявила о введении чрезвычайного положения.

«Союз писателей Литвы поддерживает Украину и наших украинских коллег – все сообщество писателей и переводчиков. Мы осуждаем незаконное и абсолютно неоправданное вторжение России на территорию Украины. Мы поддерживаем Украину и сделаем все возможное, чтобы помочь ей в этих сложных обстоятельствах», – Бируте Йонушкайте Аугустинене (Jonuškaitė Augustinienė), председатель Союза писателей Литвы.

«24 февраля – День независимости Эстонии. В тот же день украинцы начали защищать свою независимость от полномасштабного нападения агрессора», – Тийт Алексеев (Tiit Aleksejev), председатель Союза писателей Эстонии.

«Европейский совет писателей (The European Writers’ Council, EWC) и входящие в него 46 организаций из 30 стран поддерживают своих коллег из Украины», — говорит Нина Геоpге, президент Европейского совета писателей. «Мы просим страны-члены ЕС решительно вмешаться в продолжающееся насилие против Украины. Мы обращаемся к министрам культуры всех стран-членов ЕС с просьбой поддержать украинский народ и наших коллег-писателей в это трудное и опасное для жизни военное время».

To the solidarity statement by the Writers’ Union Romania:

The Writers’ Union of Romania strongly condemn the Russian Federation’s aggression against Ukraine. We consider the attack on Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity to be unacceptable. Romanian writers express their solidarity with their colleagues in Ukraine, with all the artists in this country and the hope that the life will soon return to a state that ensures a normal cultural activity on the Ukrainian territory. The Writers’ Union of Romania will always be against any aggressive and warlike policies and will always be on the side of the democratic aspirations of the people of the world. May the reason prevail and may the peace have the last word in these dramatic circumstances.
